Possibilities for visits and exchanges

Coming to Cedre can also be the opportunity for our participants and visitors to visit administrations and organisations in charge of maritime safety and response to marine pollution.
Our excellent relations with these working partners enable us not only to ask them to lecture during certain training courses, but also to organise visits of their premises, under certain conditions.

A few examples…

The largest stockpile of on-land pollution response equipment (Polmar Terre) in France (MEEDDM) is located a stone’s throw from Cedre.

The Préfecture maritime for the Atlantic is located in Brest, as is a stockpile of pollution response equipment belonging to the French Navy and CEPPOL (Centre of Practical Expertise in Pollution Response).

The Abeille Bourbon salvage tug is based in Brest harbour.

The maritime rescue coordination centre CROSS Corsen is only a 45 minute drive from our premises.

A river-based exercise site

Our premises do not include a site simulating a river. With the agreement of Brest’s local authorities, we have access to the banks of the river Penfeld, to carry out exercises involving the deployment of booms and recovery and storage equipment (but without releasing pollutants).
