Training courses run by Cedre
Cedre trains on average 800 people a year, from French and overseas administrations and local government, as well as industry.
To ensure that we fully fulfil your specific requirements and expectations, we offer several formulas.
Annual scheduled courses at our facilities
Our scheduled training courses are nationally and internationally recognised for their quality, and are also the opportunity to meet participants from various administrations, local government and industry and thus expand your network of professional contacts.
Most of our courses are open to all.
Course list and description
Courses at Cedre for a specific client
We can organise a custom training course for you on our premises.
You can thus take advantage of our specialised technical facilities and the possibilities for nearby visits (see page “Our facilities”), as well as benefit from trainers who regularly take part in our courses (see page “The trainers”) and Cedre’s experience. We can also organise accommodation, local transport (in and around Brest) and lunch for participants.
The programme is entirely adaptable according to your requirements and can include lectures, tabletop exercises and/or practical sessions, visits… Training courses can be held in French or English (or in both languages with simultaneous interpretation), or even in Spanish.
You also have the possibility of coming to train at Cedre with your own equipment on a real oil spill.

We will then send you a proposal and schedule your course together with you. We recommend that you contact our Training Department at least 4 months before the date envisaged.
On site training
Cedre trainers (engineers and technicians) are regularly sent to sites in France and overseas to lead training sessions as part of courses organised by other bodies (industry, administration, local government). This is also the opportunity to train your personnel on your own site or nearby, and to deploy your own equipment… even if we of course cannot recreate real oil spills, unless your infrastructures allow it.
The programme is entirely adaptable according to your requirements and can include lectures, tabletop exercises and/or practical sessions, visits… Training courses can be held in French, or Spanish.
The organisation of equipment used during such courses is entirely in your own hands.
