Caught in a storm on 19 December 1983, the container ship the Good Lion ran aground on the beach of Langosteira, in the northwest of Spain.
The crew was safe and sound but 80 tonnes of bunker fuel escaped from the ship's holds and polluted the surroundings beaches.
Finally, the Good Lion was abandoned and then classified as a wreck.
